"Two Sisters", also known as “O the Wind and the Rain” is a murder ballad that's been traced all the way back to 17th century England. It’s been played in all sorts of ways. Some notable recent recordings include versions by Tom Waits, Nico Muhly, and Gilian Welch. Carlo is really a master improviser who can create a vibe and sonic space at the drop of a hat. It wasn’t until listening back that I realized he began this version by playing the melody on his collection of toys and percussion.
